Collier County, Inc., located in Naples, Florida.
The Friends of the Library was formed to establish a free public library system in Collier County. The mission of the Friends is to support and to enrich the services of the Collier County Public Library System. The Friends of the Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Membership dues & donations are tax-deductible.

FRIENDS AND
LIBRARY PARTNER WITH ArtsNaples World Festival, May 2012
The Friends of the Library and Collier County Public Library will
partner with the first ArtsNaples World Festival to be held May 14 -
20, 2012. A week-long Festival, this inaugural year is dedicated to the
Cultural Arts of Russia.
Other partners in the event include: the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, Opera Naples, The von Liebig Art Center, Sugden Community Theatre, MFA Theatre Graduates of Regent University, Collier County Schools, the Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples, Naples International Film Festival, and the Golisano Children’s Museum.
Sergey Kislyak, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, is the Honorary Chair of the first ArtsNaples World Festival. Two of several events and exhibits relating to diverse aspects of Russian culture are Eugene Onegin, based on the Russian epic poem, performed in a collaborative effort between Opera Naples and the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, and artwork by Leonid Semeiko displayed at the von Liebig Art Center, surrounding Russian pianists as they perform.
Prior to the start and during the Festival, lectures, films, and performances at several Collier County libraries will introduce some of the special aspects of Russian culture. For details, consult the Spring 2012 newsletter.

LECTURE SERIES
The 2013 Nick Linn Lecture Series will be held at the Waldorf Astoria
Naples
during the first quarter of the year. Members of friends of the Library
are eligible to receive a discount price by requesting tickets prior to
July 31, 2012 in the Advanced Member Sale Price Category and beginning
August 1, 2012 for the Standard Member Price Category.
