Looking at our Libraries: Numbers tell a lot about how people use the branches
It’s November and time for numbers and news. Collier County government, of which our library is a part, ends its fiscal year every Sept. 30. So we now have full-year data about library activity. It’s always interesting to see what people choose to check out from our library branches.
First, I asked what the top five checked-out fiction books were, thinking many of you, especially those in book clubs, are curious about it, too. Here they are: “The Crossing” by Michael Connelly, “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins, “The Guilty” by David Baldacci, “Make Me” by Lee Child and “Rogue Lawyer” by John Grisham. Three of the authors (Hawkins, Baldacci and Grisham) were on last year’s top five list, with Hawkins’ title in the number one position then.
